Attention to Detail:

Detail is a key element to communication, because without it something can get lost in translation. In this piece, the detail comes with the creation of letters and the detail that creates for the word/theme. The word here is 'Hallucinogen' which is defined as 'a type of substance that produces psychological effects that tend to be associated with phenomena such as dreams or religious exaltation or with mental disorders such as schizophrenia.'. Because of this word I wanted to give the idea of dust particles or less than put together words. The detail here is important because of this idea of mental health and dust particles, as these small ink blots (originally all from 1 ink splatter/dot) create a dust effect.

This piece achieves the goals of attention to detail, as the connection of the words, size of the ink and placement of the letters all ad to the quality and execution to the final portion of this artwork. It demonstrates how keen to detail an artist needs to be in order to properly layout what they are trying to communicate, and I feel that I achieved this here.
